Before I start, I would like to mention that this is BLATANTLY NOT OFF TOPIC.
As many of you may, or may not know, Morrissey is currently in a legal battle the NME, because they were portraying him as racist apparently. Nothing unusual there, as Morrissey has more court cases than hairs nowadays.
Anyway, the NME were going to be funding the Love Music Hate Racism Carnival, this Sunday in Victoria Park. But, they had to drop out. Because nobody buys their magazine. Who steps in to save it but their BEST FRIEND, Morrissey! Apparently he’s donated £75, 000 to the campaign, and without it the carnival wouldn’t be able to happen. After the NME saying that Morrissey was only backing the campaign for good publicity after all the racism controversy, this is very fucking good news. Love Music Hate Racism are cowards and won’t put a thing up about in on the website, but oh well.

He himself hasn’t donated 75K the press association are saying it’s 28K, mere pocket change. LMHR faced a 75K deficit when a sponsor pulled out, NME was not a sponsor by the way. His promoters, booking agency, and management, K2 Agency, Live Nation, Pacifica Artists Group and SJM Concerts, respectively all contributed at the whining mancs request. More importantly LMHR’s Martin Smith & Lee Billingham said, “After an expected contribution to the Carnival from a major sponsor fell through, we contacted Morrissey AND OTHER ARTISTS who support the cause” Meanwhile when a small crowd gathers in a park to watch a host of crap bands in the rain, Morrissey will be sunning his pasty frame by his pool in LA giggling to himself.

MORRISSEY DOESN’T LIVE IN L.A. Also, yes, I am aware that most people just think this is for the good press he’ll get, but he’s still doing a positive thing, so whatever. I don’t think 60, 000 people is a ’small crowd’ personally. Thanks for the fact corrections though.

Just because I’m an anarchist it doesn’t mean that all I listen to is Crass. Why should I let my political beliefs dictate my taste in music? Also, no, he does not own a home in LA anymore.
